Super in depth and thorough coaching program, video explanations for each lift and video reviews are a game changer! I have never made as much progress as I have on this program!

The program has really helped me improve my lifts and increase my numbers. Coach Calvin has been very helpful, responsive, and supportive whenever I have questions. I’m really happy with my progress so far.

Calvin‘s programming has always felt intentional, challenging, and purpose driven. The opportunity to receive feedback and have communicative coaches even virtually was a huge difference maker and the improvements that I saw in my personal performance. The effects and results of programming were absolutely there, not only adding a significant amount of weight to my total, but doing so safely and with vastly improved technique.

Calvin's programming es excellent! He does a great job of reviewing day-to-day feedback and incorporating into the next block, and is attentive to changes in my schedule and how I'm feeling over the course of a mesocycle. His feedback on technique is direct and clear, and he's capable of switching cues on the fly in the event that things don't click as he intends them to.

Calvin is an exceptionally competent coach who programs with your specific goals and timeline in mind. His technical feedback is also genuinely excellent. Calvin has a real ability to find the cues that actually work for you as an individual, which makes corrections stick. This extends to variations of the main lifts as well, where his feedback remains precise and tailored. If you're an Olympic weightlifter looking for smart, responsive programming and a coach who truly invests in your technical development, I'd highly recommend Comp Strong.

Calvin is the first coach I've worked with, I'm a late starter to weightlifting, getting kicked off at 31. Disabled vet with too many injuries to count. He has been incredibly patient with me throughout the coaching process. I've got a new flareup, or delay from work at least once a week and he is always flexible and on point. He has a ton of resources and information when it comes to training with or through injury, along with shifts on programming around life in general. Always motivational and encouraging regardless of the slow progress due to my injuries. I would 10/10 recommend Calvin and the Big Bend Strength team to anyone. I've made pr after pr with Calvin so far and i still haven't actually shot for that, just hit good numbers hanging out with friends. I'm stoked to continue to work with him, especially with the training camp in July coming up.

The programming is awesome on its own, I feel very strong as I get through my sessions. It always pushes me a bit harder and I leave the gym knowing I pushed weight. Keep up the good work.
